PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator car device capable of allowing passengers in a car to escape outside the car even when the car of the elevator is stopped at the position different from a normal landing position. SOLUTION: The elevator car device comprises an elevator cage 1, a car frame 2 for supporting the cage 1, an elevating/lowering device 3 which is provided between the cage 1 and the car frame 2 to vertically move the cage 1 with respect to the car frame 2, and an operating means 4 for operating the elevating/lowering device 3 when a person is locked in. When the elevator is stopped outside a door zone, the elevating/lowering device 3 is operated by the operating means 4 to vertically move the cage 1 in a hoistway. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
