PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work conveying device performing maintenance work in an intermediate station without being disturbed by conveying units, in the work conveying device provided with a plurality of conveying units which is movably supported on a guide rail extending from an upstream end station to a downstream end station, a driving source applying moving force to any of conveying units, and a relay member mutually connecting the adjacent conveying units. SOLUTION: The relay member 8 is divided into a half part 8a fixed to one of the conveying units 7<SB>1</SB>and 7<SB>2</SB>and a half part 8b fixed to the other, and is provided with a connection tool 8c by which both the half parts 8a and 8b of the relay member 8 are separably connected to each other. When performing maintenance work in the station ST2, both the half parts 8a and 8b of the relay member 8 are separated form each other and the conveying unit 7<SB>2</SB>is moved to a station ST3.
