PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for facilitating discharge of waste water to sea by effectively separating and removing shellfish pulverized pieces, shellfish fine suspended matters and shellfish-originated proteins or the like causing coloring of waste water and odor from shellfish-containing waste water. SOLUTION: A flocculating solidifying agent containing paper sludge incineration ash and gypsum is added to the shellfish-containing waste water produced by treating shellfish, further a cationic polymer flocculant and carbide of paper sludge ash are added thereto, obtained mixture is subjected to treatment of agitating and mixing to produce aggregates and then produced aggregates are separated from the treating liquid.
