<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst bag filter having a long service lifetime. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst bag filter 100 has a filter substrate 30 carrying a catalyst 40 and a PTFE laminate filter layer medium, or detachment control layer, 15 which overlies the filter substrate 30 and controls detachment of the catalyst 40. The PTFE laminate filter medium layer 15 contains a PTFE porous film 10 and is jointed with the filter substrate 30 by sewing with a heat-resistant yarn.
