<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical equipment capable of efficiently removing inorganic material such as dust attached to an optical element arranged on an optical path and organic material such as soil including mold, oil and fats or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical equipment, a photocatalyst layer is disposed on at least a photographing beam incident surface of the optical element 410 arranged on the optical path and is irradiated with a light source 411 containing wavelength of ultraviolet ray region and, thereby, the progress of photocatalyst reaction is facilitated. Therein, by vibrating the optical element 410 with a driving device 430, both of foreign matter (inorganic material) such as dust and organic material such as soil including mold, oil and fats or the like are removed from the optical element 410. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
