<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implantable device for interventional treatment or a vascular surgery, and a stranded micro-cable with enhanced radiopacity that can be used to fabricate a vascular device, a stent, a guide wire or the like, particularly, three-dimensional micro-cable vascular devices fabricated from a stranded micro-cable. <P>SOLUTION: The vasooclusive device comprises a shape-memory coil having an outer coil portion and an inner core portion, the shape-memory coil having a collapsed primary coil configuration and an expanded secondary configuration with a three dimensional shape, and radiopaque strands 12 and 14 extending through the core of the shape-memory coil to form a radiopaque marker of the deployment configuration of a device, and the radiopaque strand has a plurality of intermittently spaced apart enlarged portions within the shape-memory coil. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
