PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a write driver that supplies a write current to a write element in a disk drive system and to minimize signal reflection on a channel interconnect. SOLUTION: A write through driver in the disk drive system is a transceiver including a write driver circuit 302 and a receiver circuit 303. The write driver circuit 302 drives a current signal to the write element 310 through a first conductive interconnect 304. The write element 310 responds to the current signal from the write driver circuit 302 and writes a data pattern in a magnetic hart disk. The current signal returns to the receiver circuit 303 through a second conductive interconnect 305. A return signal is utilized for diagnosing a write safe state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
