PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor the development of a repaired welding crack which is a crack formed on the surface of a conductive structure, and repaired by welding. SOLUTION: After performing a reference potential difference measuring process (process S2) for measuring a reference potential difference on a potential difference measuring position near the repaired welding crack when sending a current into a structure by applying a voltage to a voltage application position near the repaired welding crack, a plant using the structure is operated (process S3). Then, a voltage is applied to the voltage application position to thereby send a current into the structure, and a measurement potential difference at the potential difference measuring position is measured (process S4), and it is determined whether the repaired welding crack is developed or not based on the reference potential difference and the measurement potential difference (process S5), to thereby monitor development of the repaired welding crack.
