PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural terrestrial mollusc repellent having high repelling effect, being safe and readily useable and having high safety. SOLUTION: A raw material of Cryptomeria japonica is dried under a condition of≤120°C heating temperature so that water content becomes≤20% by using an artificial drying apparatus. After starting drying, steam containing a volatile component derived from Cryptomeria japonica material is cooled during passage of an exhaust duct to collect the condensate. An oil contained in the condensate is collected and can be utilized as a repellent for terrestrial mollusc including slug. Since the terrestrial mollusc repellent is obtained from the condensate obtained when drying the Cryptomeria japonica under condition of≤120°C heating temperature, a harmful substance such as phenols produced by heat decomposition of wood at high temperature and a substance having irritating smell is not included.
