PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: work for taking down leaf tobacco is heavy labor because second-deck racks arranged near a head position have to be sequentially taken down on a rack-by-rack basis; and taking down the leaf tobacco is hard work because the rack for suspending the leaf tobacco has a weight of approximate 10 kg or more, on ground that almost all workers are aged persons. SOLUTION: This equipment for simply taking down the leaf tobacco comprises: a base; a pair of frames which are provided on the base; a pair of ascending and descending rails which are laid and supported on the pair of frames; and a lifting and lowering mechanism which is provided in the frame for lifting and lowering the pair of ascending and descending rails. A needle rack can be laid and supported in an almost horizontal state by the ascending and descending rails, and can be lowered in the almost horizontal state via the lifting and lowering mechanism.
