The engine (10) has a device for removing a crank case exhaust gas from a crank case of the engine. The removing device has a siphon-like pipeline (18), and a water supply device (22) is attached downstream to a bottom area (21) of the siphon-like pipeline. The water supply device guides water to the crank case exhaust gas that is to be removed, and a valve (24) is attached to the bottom area of the siphon-like pipeline for removing an oil-water mixture. The pipeline has a large flow cross section for providing small flow rates of the crank case exhaust gas.
