The method involves utilizing a signal receiver e.g. Bluetoothsignal receiver, by which frequencies transmitted within a predetermined frequency band are detected in an area e.g. production hall. The detected frequencies are compared with an envelope. A warning signal is delivered when the detected frequencies exceed a threshold value specified by the envelope. The envelope is arbitrarily determined by a detection circuit. A measuring period during which radio communication is detected by the detection circuit in a normal operation is freely selectable. An independent claim is also included for a machine arrangement.
