The exchanger has a cooling pipeline (1) soldered and provided with free pipe ends, which are inserted into openings (5) of a collecting case or a collecting case part (6) e.g. pipe base, and are connected in a fixed manner. The collecting case part is connected with a tank part (7) to form the collecting case. Ribs of the cooling pipeline are provided with a pull linkage running between pipes of the pipeline, where the pull linkage is designed as a notch and as a thinner line in a metal strip. Tie rods (71) are formed between the collecting case part and the tank part. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing ribs.
