CYCLIC OLEFIN RESIN FILM, POLARIZING PLATE, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

A cyclic olefin resin film having a water vapor transmission rate of 200 to 400 g/m^2/24 hrs at 40°C and 90% RH and containing 0.03% to 1.0% by weight of particles having an in-film average particle size of 3.0 mum or smaller. The film shows good adhesion to a polarizer, exhibits favorable moisture permeability helping reduce deterioration of a polarizing plate, and hardly varies in optical characteristics with changes in ambient temperature and humidity. The film provides an excellent polarizing plate and liquid crystal display.
