An automatic combustion apparatus of wood chip used for home heating is provided to burn the wood chip by air from air spraying paths and to drop ashes at the front of a burner head to burn the wood chip automatically and to maximize thermal efficiency. A horizontal cylinder(10) transfers wood chip to a burner head. An L burner head(12) has an upper flange(12a) of a 3 to 8° front inclined surface. An air circulating ring(13) having upper and lower air ejecting paths is fixed at an upper surface of the upper flange through three through holes(13c). A rectangular parallelepiped hopper(20) is vertically placed. A four right-angled supply blade(21) is placed at a shaft of a geared motor(23) of the hopper. A blower(31) is installed at the rear side of a rectangular parallelepiped air space(30). Air supply pipes(32) are installed at two through holes of the air space, and hot blast recovery pipes(33) are connected to through holes(12b,12c) of the upper flange of the burner head. An ignition pipe(36) has a heating wire(36a) and a contraction pipe(36b).
