A display apparatus and a method thereof are provided to store picture quality data adjusted according to eyesight of a user and to transmit the data corresponding to the eyesight to a signal processor in order to watch images on a display without eyeglasses. A display apparatus comprises a storage(240), a video signal processor(250), and a control part(220). The storage stores picture quality-adjusted data based on eyesight of a user. The video signal processor displays the inputted video signal on a display. The control part transmits the data corresponding to the eyesight of a user to the video signal processor, to processes the video image into images according to the transmitted picture quality-adjusted data, and to display the images on the display. The picture quality-adjusted data is at least one of gamma table data and edge resister data.
