A mobile terminal and a multi-screen providing method using the same are provided to address a problem that a user should temporarily stop the operation of a supplementary function to receive a call or a text message if the user receives the call or the text message while using the supplementary function. A first application is executed on a display unit(S210). While the first application is being executed, a second application is executed(S220). A controller checks whether to display the two applications on a single screen(S230). If a command for displaying the two applications on a single screen is inputted, the controller determines a ratio size of execution regions of the applications based on a matrix table in which size ratios of respective applications are determined according to combinations of applications(S240).
