PACKET ENCRYPTION METHOD USING BLOCK CHAINING MODE OF BLOCK CIPHER

A packet encryption method using a block chaining mode of a block cipher and a method for providing packet encryption and decoding services using the same are provided to improve performance and efficiency of encryption communication by securing safety from the exposure of an initial vector. A packet encryption method using a block chaining mode of a block cipher includes the steps of: receiving an encryption request and divided packets from a transmission side(S402); generating salt through a random number generating function according to the encryption request and generating an initial vector for a new package for each divided packet by using the generated salt and a shared initial vector(S403); and transmitting the salt and the encrypted package to the transmission side by encrypting the divided package with the generated initial vector for the packet and the shared key(S404).
