The invention relates to a system and method for controlling implementation of a command to a memory device. In the method, it comprises the following steps:
monitoring an instruction stream destined for the memory device for an assertion of a command for the memory device; if the command is detected, evaluating whether the command is a restricted command; and if the command is a restricted command,
preventing assertion of the command on the memory device.
