<p>An electronic device for changing size of display windows for inputting symbols is provided to enable a user to input characters and numbers conveniently by activating/displaying a number display window on a display unit if number input is necessary while inputting the characters through a character display window, and changing size of the activated character or number display window. A touch screen(10) displays display windows arranging the same kinds of symbols. A storage unit(40) stores data for generating the display windows. A detector(20) enables a user to select or remove the display windows. A controller(30) displays the selected display window on the display unit by reading the data for generating the selected display window from the storage unit when the display window is selected by the detector. The display windows include a number display window for selecting numbers and a character display window for selecting characters. The controller resizes the display window in a dragging direction when an outline of the display window is dragged by a touch tool.</p> |
