<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a person position estimating method using a plurality of human body detecting sensors for accurately estimating the position of a person in a region to be air-conditioned, while preventing the malfunction of the human body detecting sensors for efficient air-conditioning operation. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises using the plurality of human body detecting sensors for partitioning a region to be air-conditioned into a plurality of regions depending on the position of a person in the region to be air-conditioned, setting the regional property of each region depending on the frequent existence of the person, setting in each regional property determining conditions showing the existence of the person depending on the reaction results of the plurality of human body detecting sensors for a predetermined time, and estimating the existence or not of the person in each region depending on the set determining conditions. It also applies at least two wind direction patterns for every predetermined time to discriminate whether each region is a region for another dynamic body than the person or not in accordance with the reaction results of the plurality of human body detecting sensors in the applied two wind direction patterns. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
