PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a process for manufacturing a lantern pedestal, to provide the lantern pedestal at low cost and to enable a user to easily assemble/ disassemble the lantern pedestal as well. SOLUTION: In the lantern pedestal provided with a connecting base material for projecting a shade hanger and legs, a portion recessed toward the upper outside of the connecting base material is provided on the lower face of the connecting base material, and the upper end of the leg formed with a hole on its inner lateral side is inserted into the recessed portion on the lower face of the connecting base material. By inserting the top of a leg fixing member into the hole, the legs are expanded with the recessed portion on the lower face of the connecting base material as an origin, and the upper ends of the legs are engaged and fixed in the recessed portion on the lower face of the connecting base material.
