NON-AQUEOUS ELECTROLYETE LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY

A nonaqueous electrolyte lithium secondary battery is provided to improve capacity characteristics and lifetime characteristics by using an electrolyte containing a sulfone derivative. A nonaqueous electrolyte lithium secondary battery comprises a negative electrode which comprises a lithium vanadium-based oxide negative electrode active material, and optionally a carbon-based material; a positive electrode which comprises a positive electrode active material capable of intercalating and deintercalating a lithium ion; and a nonaqueous electrolyte which comprises 0.1-10 wt% of a sulfone derivative, a lithium salt and a nonaqueous organic solvent.
