A system and a method for providing an online game reflecting transparency to a user character systematically are provided to make one team attack another team in an FPS(First Person Shooting) game by applying the transparency to the user characters of each team member and make another team defend oneself against the attack of ghosts, which are the transparent user characters. A plurality of gamer stations(440) are connected to the network. A game server(400) provides an online game to a plurality of gamer stations. Respective gamers play the online game in real-time by connecting to the game server through the network. The game server controls the online game by interchanging a control command generated from each gamer joining in the online game with a unit or the units of opposite gamers, or adjusting physical quantity of the game units during the online game. A game database(402) stores data related to the online game operated by the game server. An event database(404) stores a character transparency function applied to a character depending on each event. The transparency of the character is generated based on the character transparency function when the predetermined event is received. |
