A refrigeration unit is provided to improve the reliability and durability of the bearings and to simplify the machining of the bearings by increasing the strength of sliding parts of sliding elements such as bearings. A refrigeration unit includes a refrigerant compressor having sliding elements such as bearings(2c,4a) made of a carbon graphitic base material, which has 90-99 weight% of fixed carbon and 15% or less of area porosity in fine pores obtained by a microscope, wherein a copper solid solution containing phosphorous is filled in opened empty pores by half or more except closed pores in the fine pores.
