Industrial truck with a device for removing an energy supply unit laterally

The truck has an exchange device for laterally exchanging an energy supply unit e.g. battery. A holding device (13) is brought into a position lateral to the vehicle. A support (14) is pivotably arranged at the holding device and is moved from a driving position or raised position to a position lowered on a road surface (15), by an electric drive unit with an electric motor (19) e.g. step-motor. A detection unit is provided for detection of position of the support and is provided with a pivot angle sensor e.g. potentiometer (21), which is connected with a controller (20). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a device for removing an energy supply unit.
