A method and apparatus for controlling aroma diffusion by time is provided to minimize a decrease in the diffusion amount of the aroma under the control of a prestored control program, thereby achieving an automatic, precise optimal control. An apparatus for controlling aroma diffusion comprises: at least one cartridge(500) including a cartridge opening/closing unit(510) for opening/closing a passage of an aroma source, and a cartridge memory unit(520) for storing information on the aroma source; a fan motor(400) for providing air movement to an aroma source; a drive unit(300) for applying a drive power; a control unit(200) for controlling overall operations, and a user interface(100). The control unit controls a mixture ratio of aroma sources, and diffusion time and sequence in accordance with a prestored program in the cartridge memory unit to emit a desired aroma accurately and efficiently. |
