POLARIZING FILM AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY USING THE SAME

A polarizing film and a liquid crystal display using the same are provided not to need a separate support film by forming the polarizing film with a conductive polymer compound having physical and chemical stability. A liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel(100) and a polarizing plate(200). The liquid crystal panel has first and second substrates(110,120) facing each other. A liquid crystal layer(130) is interposed between the first and second substrates. The polarizing plate has first and two polarizing plates(210,220). The first polarizing plate is attached outside the first substrate. The second polarizing plate is attached outside the second substrate. The first and second polarizing plates have first and second polarizing films respectively. The first polarizing film has a light transmitting unit to transmit light of a first direction(D1) and a light shielding unit to shield light of a second direction(D2) perpendicular to the first direction. The second polarizing film has a light transmitting unit to transmit the light of the second direction and a light shielding unit to shield the light of the first direction. The light transmitting unit and the light shielding unit of each of the first and second polarizing films contain a conductive polymer compound and are overlapped with each other.
