A method and an apparatus for drying sludge using a heat transfer oil are provided to dry organic sludge environmentally friendly and economically, recover the entire heat transfer oil while drying the sludge completely, utilize heat value of the organic sludge as regenerated energy, and recover energy while preventing odor of water vapor exhausted in the drying process. An apparatus for drying sludge using a heat transfer oil comprises: a sludge-oil mixer(10) for mixing sludge with the heat transfer oil to produce a mixture; an evaporator(20) for receiving the mixture from the sludge-oil mixer and drying the mixture; a vaporizer(30) for receiving the mixture from the evaporator and vaporizing the heat transfer oil in a vacuum state; a condenser(40) for condensing water vapor evaporated from the evaporator; and an oil recovering machine(50) for condensing the vaporized heat transfer oil to recover the heat transfer oil. The evaporator includes a flat heat plate(21), an injector(22) for injecting the mixture onto the heat plate, and a conveyor(23) for conveying the mixture on the heat plate, the evaporator being sealed. The conveyor is a wire mesh conveyor. The apparatus further comprises an oil boiler(60) for heating the oil, wherein the oil heated in the oil boiler is sent to the evaporator and the vaporizer through a distributor(61) connected to the oil boiler such that the oil is recovered to the oil boiler after supplying heat to the evaporator and the vaporizer. |
