摘要 A superpeer (100, S2) is described for participating in a hierarchical overlay peer-to-peer network (N1) with one or a plurality of other superpeers (S0, S1, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7) and enabling a leafnode (LN) to be attached via a leafnode overlay link (N2) with any of said superpeers (S0-S7). Said superpeer (100, S2) comprises: a receiver (110) operative to receive an attach request message (112) indicating that said leafnode (LN) is requesting to be attached to said hierarchical peer-to-peer network (N1); a transmitter (120) operative to transmit an attach confirmation message (124) indicating that said leafnode (LN) shall be attached to said superpeer (100); and the processing unit (130), operative to, upon reception of an indication (114) from said receiver that an attach request message (112) has been received, compare a traffic load value representative of the traffic load of said superpeer (100, S2) with a traffic load value associated with and representative of the traffic load of at least one of said one or said several other superpeers (S0, S1, S3, S4), and control (131) said transmitter to transmit said attach confirmation message (124) to indicate that said leafnode is to be attached to said hierarchical peer-to-peer network through a leafnode overlay link with said superpeer (100), if the comparison reveals that said traffic load of said superpeer is lower than said traffic load of said other superpeer or lower than the traffic loads of said several other superpeers.
