A vibration reduction apparatus for a diesel vehicle and a method thereof are provided to forcibly stop the rotation movement of a crank shaft pulley when a key-off signal is received in an ECU such that key-off vibration is reduced without increasing the manufacturing cost and deteriorating NVH(Noise Vibration Harshness). A vibration reduction apparatus for a diesel vehicle comprises an ECU(10) for detecting key-on and key-off signals of the vehicle, a relay(20) turned on/off according to the key-on and key-off signals detected by the ECU, a solenoid coil(30) to supply and block power corresponding to the on/off operation of the relay, and a return spring(40) being compressed and restored corresponding to the power supply and block of the solenoid coil. The vibration reduction apparatus includes a crank shaft pulley(70) which rotates according to the explosion of fuel in the engine, a pulley friction disk(80) mounted on the crank shaft pulley, a first sliding rod(51a) inserted into the solenoid coil, and a second sliding rod(51b) which is in contact with the distal end of the return spring. |
