FIELD: mechanics. ^ SUBSTANCE: said device for ultrasonic examination of round stock incorporates an electromagnet-acoustic transducer, supports, a backing and a system for control of electromagnet-acoustic transducer position as regards to the surface of the item under inspection. The control system incorporates two linkages. One of them, which provides for alignment of axis of the item under inspection with the electromagnet-acoustic transducer centerline, is a bracket-mounted plane linkage, which comprises two levers connected by an axle-mounted yoke (the axle is in the symmetry plane of the electromagnet-acoustic transducer) and provided with baffles, and two bracket-hinged levers. The other linkage, which provides for pressing the device down and lowering it to the surface of the item under inspection, as well as raising it, consists of two pairs of parallel levers, pivotally connected by means of spherical bearings via a bracket and supported axes, and is provided with a drive, which has a support-travelling gear. The housing of electromagnet-acoustic transducer is installed on rolling contact bearings in a way providing for possibility of independent displacement as regards to the surface of the item under inspection and to the backing, which is rigidly attached to the bracket. ^ EFFECT: enhanced service life of electromagnet-acoustic transducer. ^ 2 cl, 4 dwg |
