A liquid injection apparatus is provided to reduce the number of cleaning processes by restricting air bubbles from going into a liquid inlet body at the time of changing a liquid container. A liquid injection apparatus includes an ink inlet needle(21). The ink inlet needle includes an ink inlet passage(38), a tip(23), a straight part(51), and an extension part(52). The ink inlet passage is formed in the center of the ink inlet needle. The tip includes a taper part(48) having diameter gradually increasing from one end to the other. The straight part is cylindrical and elongated from the tip. The extension part is formed beneath the straight part and has a diameter gradually increasing downward.
