A display device and a method for processing the same are provided to enhance linearity by precisely adjusting distortions generated in a cathode ray tube. A display device includes an output unit(110), a detection unit(120), and a controller(130). The output unit outputs test patterns, which are constantly formed by plural vertical and horizontal lines forming points at cross sections. The detection unit detects distortion points generated on the test patterns. The controller, including a memory for storing respective point values and a calculator for calculating values of the distortion points based on the distance with distortion points, adjusts values of the distortion points using periphery point values of the detected distortion points.
