摘要 FIELD: physics, measurement. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is related to procedure for detection of metal and metal-containing objects, and may be used to detect and identify hidden subsurface objects, which are placed in non-conducting and weakly conducting mediums. Metal detector comprises induction transducer, three amplifiers, synchronous detector and indicator. Output of induction transducer, the first amplifier and input of the first synchronous detector are serially connected. Induction transducer consists of two resonant circuits, which include radiating coil and coil that partially covers it, and balancing circuits. Metal detector also comprises the fourth amplifier, the second synchronous detector, double-channel analog-digital transducer and microprocessor. The first input of microprocessor is serially connected to the second amplifier and input of induction transducer. The second and third outputs of microprocessor are connected accordingly with reference inputs of synchronous detectors. Outputs of synchronous detectors are connected accordingly with the third and fourth amplifiers, which are connected by their outputs with inputs of double-channel analog-digital transducer, which is connected to microprocessor. Output of the first amplifier is connected to input of the second synchronous detector. ^ EFFECT: provision of possibility to separate objects at least into 6 classes and to determine distance to them with accuracy of up to 3 cm. ^ 2 dwg
