A method and an apparatus for controlling a power supply are provided to finely adjust output voltage by driving the power supply according to a current sensing signal which is not amplified. A control circuit is configured to form a control signal for controlling a power control element so that output voltage of a power supply system(10) is adjusted and load current is supplied to a load. An error amplifier(77) is configured to receive a current sensing signal formed by a current sensing element and referred to a bias signal formed at a first side of the current sensing element, and to receive the bias signal. A differential amplifier(70) is configured to amplify the bias and to add output from the differential amplifier to the current sensing signal at an input terminal of the error amplifier.
