A method for using a fiber pot for planting water plants in the bottom of a river is provided to prevent the fiber pot from getting stripped off and culture soil from being washed out in the planting process, and to allow the fiber pot to be naturally decomposed. A method for using a fiber pot for planting water plants in the bottom of a river comprises the steps of: inserting a container-shaped fiber pot(10) into a synthetic resin pot(22); filling the fiber pot in the synthetic resin pot with culture soil(20); sowing the seeds of a water plant(12) in the culture soil, or transplanting a seedling; growing the water plant in the culture soil until the water plant puts out its root through holes(18) formed at the surface of the fiber pot and the root densely covers the outer surface of the fiber pot; and removing the synthetic resin pot when the water plant is grown to a desired size, followed by throwing the fiber pot in the bottom of a river. The fiber pot is made by arranging crushed vegetable fiber pieces(16) in an irregular form, pressing them to form a plurality of holes on the surface of the pressed fiber material, and forming it into a container. |
