The invention relates to a torque support on oil collecting receptacles (2, 2') in the region of the paired connection of spindle heads and roller journals (l, 1') in roll stands during the displacement thereof in a vertical and axial direction, respectively comprising a fixing point on the upper and lower oil collecting receptacles (2, 2'). The novel torque support comprises a single-piece strip (3) having a particularly rectangular cross-section made of a bend-resistant material, which is swingingly connected on a vertical plane to the upper oil-collecting receptacle (2) on the upper end thereof by means of a joint (4) and which is slidingly guided along the vertical swinging plane in the region of the lower end (9) thereof in a positive-fit-compatible recess (5) of a guide sliding member (6), whereby the distance thereof and the angle of inclination (A) thereof are modifiable.
