METHOD OF OPERATING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

A method of driving a PDP(Plasma Display Panel) is provided to improve image quality and operation reliability of the PDP by maintaining optimum discharge characteristics irrespective of time and temperature. A PDP includes pixels which are defined by first to third electrodes, where the first and second electrodes(X1~Xn,Y1~Yn) are arranged in parallel and the third electrodes(A1~Am) are arranged to cross the first and second electrodes. First and second driving signal sets for first and second temperature regions are prepared. The second temperature region is close to the first temperature region. A threshold temperature dividing the first and second temperature regions is determined based on accumulated operation time of the PDP. One of the first and second driving signal sets corresponding to temperature of the PDP is applied to the first to third electrodes.
