The system has a central control unit (1) and multiple smoke or fire detectors (2-4). Multiple fire extinguishers (8, 9) are linked to the central control unit by device drivers. The fire extinguishers are activated and controlled by the central control unit having an integrated communication unit (14) e.g. mobile phone, where the system activates escape route lighting systems (12) in case of fire.
