A washer wherein a heating unit is embedded to dry laundry is provided to prevent damage to laundry and to reduce washing time. A washer comprises a lower container(20), a rotating unit(40), an upper container(10), and a pressing plate(51). The lower container has a washing tub inside and in which laundry is injected. The rotating unit is installed at the lower container, and rotates the washing tub. The upper container is assembled to one part of an outer periphery surface of the lower container, and being opened. The pressing plate is placed in the upper container, and presses laundry by vertically moving inside of the lower container. The rotating unit has a tooth, a spur gear and a motor(43). The tooth is formed on an upper outer periphery surface of the washing tub. The spur gear is engaged with the tooth of the washing tub. The motor rotates the spur gear. A heating unit(70) is installed at one part of the lower container, and heats a lower surface of the washing tub. |
