METHOD FOR PREPARING A FLAT FLUORESCENT LAMP AND THE FLAT FLUORESCENT LAMP PREPARED THEREFROM

A method for manufacturing a flat fluorescent lamp and the flat fluorescent lamp manufactured by the same are provided to reduce a manufacturing cost by coating sealing materials on barrier ribs of a rear substrate without using a spacer. Front and rear substrates are prepared. Plural barrier ribs(310) are formed on the rear substrate(300) to define a discharge space. A phosphor layer is then formed in the discharge space. First and second electrodes are formed. Sealing material(330) is coated on the barrier ribs, which are positioned at the most outer of the rear substrate. The front substrate is covered on the front substrate and then the sealing material is flowed down along a side of the rear substrate. By executing heat treatment on the sealing material, the front and rear substrates are bonded each other.
