<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asynchronous serial communication method and an asynchronous serial communication device capable of decreasing a circuit scale reduced in the number of signal lines, while acquiring a certain amount of a high-speed property in operation. <P>SOLUTION: The invention includes two steps. In a step at a transmitting side, a signal level is changed to a predetermined level, and then, sending-out data of one-bit are transmitted during a second time duration T2 defined separately after the expiration of a first predetermined time duration T1.
