PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter cleaning device which cleans a filter in a state of keeping it inside of a machine, keeps strength of the filter, and reduces attachment of dust to a device disposed on the downstream side of the filter. SOLUTION: This filter cleaning device is disposed in a housing having: an air distributing means sucking air and blowing off the sucked air from a ground surface side; and the filter 40 capturing the dust in the air, and cleaning the filter 40, and has a dust removing portion kept into contact with the filter 40 for removing the dust captured by the filter 40. The filter is composed of organic fiber of fiber diameter of 30-70μm, having a unit area amount (number of warp threads/inch×number of weft threads/inch)<SP>1/2</SP>of 65-100 pieces/inch.
