PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cradle device in which a viewer can view a monitor display means at a desired location and at a desired attitude. SOLUTION: The cradle device comprises a monitor mode selection means for selecting a monitor mode which validates the monitor display means. Also, the cradle device comprises a monitor attitude holding means which, when the monitor mode is selected by the monitor mode select means, moves and sets an image pick-up device to a monitor attitude in which the monitor display means faces a direction designated by the viewer.
