PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery without any sealing failure by electrolyte stuck to area around a liquid inlet when injecting liquid or when inserting a sealing plug, in the sealed battery with the sealing plug attached to the liquid inlet. SOLUTION: The sealed battery has the sealing plug with a flange part attached to the liquid inlet 2 provided in a lid 1 sealing an opening part of a battery can. A cocentric annular flange abutting part 8 and an annular groove part 3 are provided around a liquid inlet central hole 2a and a through hole 4 is formed for dropping the electrolyte in the groove part 3.
