PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust structure of a storage battery with liquid-leakage preventing effect from a gas exhaust port improved, by inhibiting movement of electrolyte solution mist contained in gas during a process of gas generated in a cell room of the storage battery progressing to an exhaust channel through an exhaust hole and exhausted outside from the gas exhaust port. SOLUTION: In the exhaust structure of a storage battery in which an exhaust hole 3a each communicated with each cell room is drilled in a lid plate 1a of a lid main body 1 provided on a top face of a battery case having a plurality of cell rooms divided by partitioning walls inside, an exhaust channel each independent is formed by surrounding barrier ribs 5a separating and surrounding adjacent exhaust holes 3a, 3a on a top face of the lid plate 1a, and a gas exhaust port 23 is provided which communicates with these exhaust channels 6a, a bottom face of each exhaust channel 6a is made a slanted face rising from the exhaust hole 3a to the gas exhaust port 23 for its whole length, and a required number of steps 60, 60, ... are formed on the way of the slanted bottom face.
