PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for separating sludge and solid matter from liquid like sewage or waste oil having sludge or solid chips mixed therein. SOLUTION: The apparatus for separating sludge is constituted so that a cyclone is airtightly connected to a bag filter by a separated matter discharge means when separating sludge contained in a solution, wherein a sludge tank is provided in a lower discharge pipe of the cyclone, the solution is intermittently supplied to the cyclone drain treating bag filter by a sludge automatic discharge valve provided at a lower part of the sludge tank, then the sludge is separated from the liquid by the cyclone drain treating bag filter.
