PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided a shading protective sheet for civil engineering, which is excellent in laying work efficiency, outdoor durability, strength and compression resistance, prevented from separation of jointed faces during use after construction, and suitably used particularly for a protection layer of a waterproof layer. SOLUTION: The shading protective sheet for civil engineering has resin films laminated on the surface of nonwoven fabric serving as the protection layer, wherein the nonwoven fabric serving as the protection layer is formed in two layers, the upper layer nonwoven fabric is composed of polyester fibers with a melting point of 110-150°C and an average fiber thickness of 5-30 dtex, and the resin film is made from an olefin-based resin film with pigment mixed with an ultraviolet ray absorbent kneaded therein. The olefin-based resin film layers are laminated on the surface of the upper layer nonwoven fabric from one side end part in the width direction, and from the other side end part in a width of 10-15 cm toward the inside in a thickness of 100-500 g/cm<SP>2</SP>.
