The invention relates to a method for the production of a mineral melt for the production of mineral fibre products for heat and/or sound insulation and for protection against fire, particularly mineral fibre products such as stone wool, wherein at least manufacture-based residues, correcting materials for adjusting the required composition and viscosity of the melt, are comminuted and pressed with a binding agent to form forming stones and the forming stones are fed to a melt unit. In order to develop a generic method for the production of a mineral melt, which is used to manufacture mineral products, resulting in lower raw material costs while at the same time maintaining the same properties of the mineral fibre products which are to be produced and improving the insulating properties and biodissolvability thereof, solid edged conical and/or cylindrical bodies made of metal and/or non-metal substituents are added to the amount of residual substances and correcting substances prior to the pressing of the forming stones, at least for one part of the correcting substances, which can be used for abrasive and/or cleaning surface treatment of components. |
